Ok, so I thought I had been to every coffee shop in Crested Butte, but it turns out I was wrong. I found The Daily Dose nestled in next to the market and the theater. I don’t know why I had never noticed it before. How could I have missed something called A Daily Dose?
A Daily Dose is a tiny little shop with a big personality. It is colorful, offers great coffee and tea options, and the barista is playing fun techno(ish) music. There are only four tables, a small bench, a cheetah print chair and a chest with some toys on it – see what I mean about big personality?
I walk in to find two people sitting at the corner booth. They’re getting up to leave as I place my order. I always seem to have the place to myself. I don’t mind, though. I take their place at the corner booth, pull out my computer and sip on my green juice and nibble on my chocolate chip cookie.
I am enjoying the music that the barista is playing so I don’t even have to pull out my headphones. I type this as I gaze out the window next to me and watch a few kids skateboarding outside. Other than that not much is happening.
A Daily Dose is so small there is not much to observe, so this is a pretty small post, but I still had to feature it!
This is Episode 13 of The Flannelogues.
